Your visit to Tobermory Harbour

Our team are looking forward to welcoming our valued customers back to Tobermory.

These are unprecedented times and we are working hard to protect our visitors, our staff and our community.   We ask for your help to make your visit to Tobermory a safe and positive experience for all. We are monitoring Scottish Government guidance continually and ask that you check their website for current restrictions (both national and local) and other up to date information.

  • For the remainder of the 2020 season - all visitors must book in advance of their visit.

 

  • Contact details are required from skippers or boat owners using our facilities*  

  • To ensure the safety of our visitors and help with social distancing, the number of boats and the number of visitors using our facilities will be limited.

  • For booking and when entering the harbour, please contact VHF 68 or the duty mobile: 07917 832497

 

 

Pontoons users  

  • As part of the booking process you will be allocated a mooring or berth, please see the plan below for directions.

  • We will only be allocating one boat per pontoon finger to help with social distancing.

  • There is no pump out facility in Tobermory and this should be borne in mind particularly prior to the opening of the onshore facilities.

  • Give way at the top of the bridges to pontoon users exiting the pontoons.

  • Maintain Social distancing at all times.

Moorings

  • The mooring buoys are blue and white and labelled with the max weights:  15T, 25T & 80T.         (Please ensure the correct weight is used for your vessel).

  • If coming ashore, please maintain social distancing at all times.

Anchor

  • Please anchor towards Aros Bay, or in the Doirlinn.  Do not anchor in the area where the visitor moorings usually are as the blocks and chains are on the seabed.

  • If you plan to come ashore, you may leave contact details with us to assist with Track and Trace.

 

Payments

Once you have made your booking, you will receive an e:mail with online payment instructions. This a fast, simple and safe payment portal.**   This is our preferred payment method this year and we respectfully ask that you pay this as soon as your vessel is moored securely.  For those who still wish to pay in person, please contact the staff and we will bring the card machine to you. There is increased risk with this option, and we would prefer to keep this to a minimum.

 

Fuel Berth

Fuel is on the outside of the mid-section and is operated by Harbour Garage.  The fuelling times will be reduced this year. You should contact the garage direct to make arrangements 01688 302103

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

COVID 19 FAQ’s

What are Tobermory Harbour doing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19?

We have implemented frequent cleaning regimes, provided hand sanitisers and will be restricting boat numbers. We now also have a new online payment option, which we will be opening up to all customers within the booking system.

We unfortunately need to minimise face to face contact, but our aim is to try and maintain our friendly service and ensure you have a relaxed stay with us.

 

What Facilities will be open for harbour users?

The laundry in the Harbour Building is open as usual. We are aiming to open the Toilets and Showers on or just after the 15th July 2020. Please be aware that legislation may change at any time and we may be forced to close facilities.

Will there be recycling and refuse facilities available?

We hope to have arrangements in place for refuse uplifts from the 15th July. Prior to that we would ask that you either use the recycling and refuse bins in Ledaig Car Park or take your refuse away with you.

Is it business as usual in Tobermory?

Click HERE for information on the services some of the local businesses are offering. We will also attach this to your booking confirmation e:mail but recommend you check with the local businesses for updates. A number of businesses have taken the difficult decision not to open immediately or in some cases for the remainder of the season mainly due to the challenges of social distancing.

 

Can I get items delivered to the boat, so I can stay aboard?

Some businesses have indicated that they will be willing to arrange delivery.

Refer to the LIST of local businesses and services as above but keep an eye on Facebook or contact the businesses direct for updates and arrangements.
